THE MODEL SAYYIDA FATIMATUL ZAHRA (AS) LEFT FOR US IS THE KEY SOLUTION TO GLEARING PROBLEMS OF OUR SOCEITY.

The grand finale of the annual birthday remembrance (Maulud) of the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (S), Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS) organised by Zahra Foundation Kano was held at one of the halls in Murtala Muhammad library, Kano on Sunday 18th Jumadal Thani 1429AH.

                In order to inculcate the illustrious exemplary life of Sayyida Zahra (AS) a Maulud competition was organised by foundation in Kano for the 8 designated residential neighbourhood groupings (halka) within the metropolis. Naibawa halka was 1st, with Tudun-Wada and Fagge coming 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the quiz conducted on the grand finale Sabon-Titi and Naibawa came 1st, with Kurna and Fagge coming 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the easy competition Hafsat Umar from Kurna was 1st, Maryam Salisu from Kofar-Waika was 2nd and Rukkaiyya Sani coming 3rd.

                While speaking as the special guest speaker, Mal Muhammad Turi, reiterated the main objective of organising such kind of events is for us review the life of the leader of all Women of the world Sayyida Fatimatul Zahra (AS), learn and imbibe lessons from her exemplanary life being a model for all of us to copy and practise. Thus in order to appreciate the model she left for us the speaker reviewed lessons from her life as models in;

1.       The status of a daughter to a father; she had been God fearing and supportive to her Dad in the field of struggle, calling on humanity to abide by the oath we’ve taken to worship and abide by nobody but to Him alone. The Prophet had called her the Mummy to him “Ummi abiha” for her supportiveness at all times. The brevity she showed when many were afraid of the consequences that may follow in removing the rotten and filthy camel intestine placed on his head while in prostration is a force to reckon with.

2.       Her role of the housewife that has been of immense help and supportive to her husband.

3.       The role she played in leading the model to be followed in the proper upbringing of the young one’s. She played a vital role in her children’s education, moral upbringing and of good help to the society to attain Allah’s Favour. The children were narrated to have said while in prayers her prayers mostly centred on favours for her neighbours more than to her family.   Wouldn’t their be a positive change in today’s society by sharing the little we have with our neighbours. The commendation by Allah (T) in Quran on the exempla nary model she exhibited by giving out to the needy when they came knocking is well known.

4.       An exemplanry teacher who hasn’t being tired in giving out helping hands to the affairs of the society.

5.       She had shown how best one should act when the society has forsaken the right path left for us the Rasoul (S) especially when she stood firm by calling on all to come back to the message the Prophet has left before us, while returning to the mercy of Allah (T), for we wouldn’t have fallen astray.

The speaker stressfully concluded by saying indeed the model Sayyida Zahra (AS) left for us is a perfect model for all and is a solution to all the ills of the society and is the only hope for a positive change in our today’s society.
