Sheikh Turi giving his lecture

The Guest Speaker, Malam Muhammad Mahmud Turi dwelled on the exalted position of Sayyida Fatima (AS). He reminded the gathering that Fatima is not only a daughter to the holy prophet of Islam, but part of him. He quoted a hadith where the prophet of Islam was reported to have said that Allah SWT is happy when ever Fatima is happy. And whoever makes Fatima sad is by implication courting the wrath of Allah (SWT).

Malam Muhammad further elaborated that for Allah (SWT) to be happy whenever Fatima is happy and vice versa goes to show that Fatima has never and will never commit any act of disobedience to the law of Allah.

In another hadith quoted by Malam Muhammad Turi, Imam Ali (AS) was reported to have said that ever since he is married to Fatima he has never offended her and she has also never offended him. This according to Malam Turi should be a food for thought to all believers. This in essence goes to show that all married couple should endeavour to live a happy married life since the importance of family in Islam could not be over emphasised.

Malam Mahumud Turi added that because of her high degree of righteousness Fatima was reported to have given a needy the only available dinner prepared by her to brake her fasting together with Imam Ali (AS) and their two kids, Hasan, and Husain (AS). With this Malam Turi rhetorically asked how could a child brought up in this family be a miser?

He called on all to go in further research into her life as this signifies love for her with aim of following her teaching and that of her children(AS)

In addition to the lecture presentation there was a cutting of cake in honour of Sayyida Fatima (AS) and Imam Khomeini  ( her grand son) who incidentally shared the same birth day with Sayyida Fatima (AS). There was also presentation of awards/trophies to the competing area unit that did organized the same programme at their respective ward level.
