 After normal salutations, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Yaqoub El-Zakzaky rejoices with the Muslims on the birthday anniversary of the best of creatures, prophet Muhammad (Sallal Lahu Alaihi wa Alih ) which coincided with that of his grandson, Imam Jafar Assadiq (Alaihis Salam).

His speech came after procession to mark the birthday of the prophets. In a 5- hour match covering several kilometers, hundreds of thousands of celebrants flooded the streets of Zaria City. The city was standstill for the prophet (SAAW).

Some observers opined that they have not seen such a gathering before. Muslims carrying flags of different colors and inscriptions took the major streets of Zaria from two directions- extreme north and south where they all merged at the venue in Kofar Doka playing ground, where Sheikh Zakzaky delivered the closing lecture to mark the birthday anniversary of the prophet and the end of  the unity week programme.

Sea of people flooded the venue as the celebrants outside the venue outnumbered those inside. In a one hour lecture delivered by Sheikh the tail of the procession had not arrived up to the near end of his speech. 

 Conducted under sunny day of about 32 degrees Celsius   the white dressed celebrants  covered themselves with umbrella. The venue was decorated with good materials and flags. The Podium was specially designed.

 Describing the birth of prophet, the leader of the Islamic Movement said he was born at time when the world was in darkness and in a dare need of guidance; at a time mankind did not know the mission of his coming to the world and the original message of Musa and Isa (alaihimus salam) were almost disappeared.

He added that Prophets are God chosen servants even before they were born. They are chosen to bring message of God to guide mankind, so God trained them to be able to practice the message itself so that people can follow.

The prophet came during jahiliyyah time (period of ignorance and barbarism). It was a period where the strongest was the leader. It was written on the wall  of ka’aba “ Al-mulk liman qahara” .  the prophet was known to them as very honest person, they even nicknamed him al-Amin, the trustworthy. And this is because the Jahilliyah set up respect man of honesty and good virtues. This is the difference between the jahillayyah of modern day where an honest and trust person is not respected at all.

 The message of Islam brought by the prophet was denied by the Arab leaders, who rejected it because for them they were the ones to be chosen to do the job. They knew he was not telling a lie. Although, the masses did not reject him, but for fear of molestation many of them did not accept.

 The leaders of Mecca rejected the prophet for fear of losing their leadership, and they did not like the leadership to be with him and his progeny alone.

 So, the enemies of Islam did everything to stop him from spreading the message, they even followed him to medina. The prophet entered Yahtrib as a leader,  not as migrant because the people there accepted his leadership. Known as Yathrib, it was changed to Madinatur rasul (the city  of the prophet) with his going there.

From there the message of Islam conquered the Arabian Peninsula and the rest parts of the world; also the two strong empires of that time-Rome and Pasha, fell.

The enemies of Islam in Mecca continued with their plots against Islam up to the Time of Imam Husain (Alaihis Salam) when they wanted to obliterate the religion altogether, in vain. The sacrifice of Imam Husain (Alaihis salam) saved the religion from disappearing.

The great works of Imam Jafar (Alaihis salam) of spreading the correct teaching of Islam saved the message of islam for the fact that for over hundred years the sayings of prophet were not allowed to be written or documented. People were in confusion, and when eve r they referred to Ahul bayt(Alaihimus salam) they got the solution. Imam Jafar (alaihis salam) spread  the sayings of the prophet which he inherited from his father, Imam Baqir (alaihis salam), that were well documented by him. This caused a great danger to the kings and they therefore started  fabricating their won hadeeth in volumes. They fabricated the chains of hadeeth themselves.

Jafariiyah is the root of all the Fiqh schools obtainable. All their leaders studied directly or indirectly from Imam Jafar (Alaihis salam)

On the World Arrogant powers.

Just like  the past Jahiliyyah, where Islam faced two empires of Rome and Pasha, the present Jahilliyah has also two arrogant powers that are leading the world- the Western Capitalist system and the Communist East. These two systems are leading instead of Islam. They occupied Muslim Nations and stole their natural resources.

What they are doing now is attacking Muslim countries one after another. They entered Iraq under the pretext of weapon of mass destruction (wmd) which they could not find. Now what are they doing there since they could not find it?!!! , Sheikh added.Their next target may be Somalia and Sudan. Jahiliyah is now back in our midst, while still the message of Islam is still with us.!

It was in the present time, God, out of His mercy, raised the great Mujahid, scholar and revivalist, who is known to all. Imam Khomeini(QS)  gave a dirty slap on the face of  the world arrogant powers.The arrogant powers want to attack Islamic Iran-the fruit of  Imam’s struggle. Had it been they are sure of victory they will not give it a respite.

Israel attacked nuclear stations in Iraq in the past and promised to attack Iran. Then Iran gave them a serious warning which cast a fear in them. We are sending them a warning that they can never crush Islamic Iran. Sheikh noted
