In Commemorating  one year of the attacks carried out  by the Wammako-led Government of Sokoto state in Nigeria on members of the Islamic Movement, The Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, organised a press conference at Arewa House, Kaduna on Saturday 28th June 2008.

The Press briefing emphasized on injustice been meted out on the Peaceful members of Islamic Movement in Sokoto and the subsequent Court Judgement.

112 members of the Islamic Movement in Sokoto were sentenced to 11 years imprisonment  by a local Sharia Court in Sokoto following their arrest after the killing of one Umar Danmaishiyya by unknown assassins. All effort to link the killing to members failed, but still the court which lacks Jurisdiction to treat the case passed a bias judgment on the peaceful members.
