WHAT IS THE SENSE IN PREVENTING THOSE THAT HAVE FALLEN INTO A CALAMITY TO RESULT IN PRAYERS TO ALLAH (SWT)?

          The Eid Prayer Ground at Kofar mata Kano and strategic areas within the city on Friday 26^th Rabiul Thani 1429 was jam packed with security agents all in an effort to prevent the call by a group of Distinguished reciters of the holy Quran (Alarammomi) on all to come to the Eid Prayer Ground to conduct a special prayer to Allah (T) on the hardship that has befallen the nation. Some of the causes of the hardship include High prices of food stuffs, for example the price of rice has increased by 100% within short period. and this is the case with other food items coupled with high unemployment rate and low per capital income.

          Reason for the stance taken by the security agent as expressed by the Police PRO on the state media is to maintain peace and order. He added that the leaflets distributed does not contain the names of the organisers of the prayer. Despite the reason giving by the police a lot of inhabitants within the city express their dismay on the stance taken by the government as if they are unaware of the predicament of the people they claim to govern.

people argued that in a situation where the leaders  neglected their subject, it is not  a crime for people  to turn to the Almighty Creator ?  They expressed their surprise  that prayers organised in support of those in power are always welcomed!

          In the usual Friday sermon conducted by the members of the Islamic movement in Kano where various issues are discussed, this very episode was not left out too. The representative of the movement in Kano Mal Muhammad Turi commended Alarammomi for taking the stance of conducting such prayers  to Allah to shower mercy upon us, though in other countries instead of  conducting prayers the public atimes organise protest rally that may turn to violence. He went on to express his dismay on the stance taken by those in authority  casting  fear and terror to the general public in order to prevent the conductance of peaceful prayers on the predicament that has befallen the nation.

He lamented on  the failure of those in authority for  not taking concrete measures to alleviate the sufferings of the people.   He also reminded all on the mission of the Islamic Movement lead by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky that the solutions to all problems lies on the  obedience and of  being servitude to Allah (SWT), and is the only viable alternative for all. To the organisers of the prayer session Mal Turi said since the reason given by the authority for preventing the conductance of the prayers session at the eid prayer ground is that  organisers didn’t give their names, the movement is extending an open invitation to them to choose which ever Friday they deem fit for the conductance of the prayer session at Fagge jummaat mosque. Indeed Allah’s response to the prayers of the oppressed is well known to all.

          In a comment made by Mal Sunusi AbdulKadir, he pointed out that obviously the Call to Islam is gaining  success. This is so because the response of people to accept the call back to our root is seen  with severe hardship that makes people think and act much faster to an ailing problem.  Example of this was  the response of Iranian people, as documented in history, when the Shah government in Iran increased the price of bread.

          The audience appreciated the care and concern of members of the  Islamic Movement on the wellbeing of general public , with prayers of increase steadfastness from them.
