The National Conference on Islamic Thought organized by the Academic Forum in Yola ended on Sunday the 20th of March 2011.
The three day conference was attended by academics, writers, Clerics and students. Topics covered by different invited speakers include Islamic system of Government by Dr. Shu’ aibu S. Sara and Knowledge as a Backbone of a True Revolution by Dr. Abdullahi Yar’adua.
Others areas covered are The role of Muslim Youths in Changing a Jahili Society by Malama Maimuna Abdullahi and State of Affairs by Barrister Difa.
The closing lecture was delivered by Malama Zeenah Ibraheem. The Leader of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky could not attend the conference to give closing lecture over the death of Alhaji Hamid Danlami who died on Thursday 17th March 2011.
