The second lecture was delivered by Sheikh Adam Hafiz on the Necessity of Holding Fast to the Holy Quran. The Kogi state based Scholar started by speaking on the virtues of the Holy Quran which he said is  the best Book revealed to the Best of Creatures. In the Quran Almighty Allah commands His Apostle to follow what is revealed to him and never to deviate, the speaker noted adding that the command is also binding on all Muslims.

Sheikh Adam further explained that the Prophet left two precious things,  according to his authentic hadeeth, they are  the book of Allah Al-Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt(AS), and the Ummah will be questioned on the Day of Judgment concerning the progeny of the Prophet (SAWA), Sheikh Adam noted. H also stressed the importance of constant recitation of the holy Qurán while describing its many virtuous to Muslims.

He lamented that the Qur’an has been left aside by the Muslims, though it is the revealed by God that contains complete guidance for humanity and the Ummah was warned before hand against such act.

He warned against disunity which he said gets its root in following  selfish desires  adding that the Qur’an clearly warned the Ummah against imitating the people of Book who became disunited amongst themselves each following its own way.

He stressed that holding fast to the book of Allah is the only way out for  Muslims since the Qur’an says ‘this is a blessed book which We revealed to you so, follow it…”

The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky expressed his thanks to the speaker for the lecture. The leader further gave highlight on the lecture. He said Muslims should learn recitation of the holy Quran while taking care of the rules and regulations of recitation, its meaning and to practice its teachings.

The Leader further described the holy Quran as final message to humanity and  its miracles as the highest which superseded  the miracles performed by the past Prophets (AS). It contains knowledge of everything that were not known previously by Scholars and researchers, he noted.

Gift item was presented to the Speaker  by the Leader after which he gave a closing prayer.
