The Funeral prayer for the late Alhaji Hamid Danlami took place at the late's  residence in Zaria on Friday the 18th of March 2011 by 10:am.

The prayer, led by the Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sayyid Ibraheem Zakzaky, was attended by thousands of people from various cities and towns. Some individuals also attended the funeral from neighbouring Niger republic.

Since early morning on Friday people started trooping to the residence of late Alhaji Danlami to pay him farewell.

After the prayer, the body of the deceased was buried at Fudiyyah  Primary/Secondary School, located few meters away from his residence.

People have been trooping since Thursday to pay condolence to the Leader of the Islamic Movement who cancelled his trip to Yola over the death of Alhaji Hamid.
