Sheikh Sayyid Zakzaky attends opening ceremony of Fudiyya primary School in Funtua.

Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky attended opening ceremony of Fudiyyah Primary School in Funtuwa Katisna state on Saturday the 23rd of October 2010.

The ceremony, attended by multitudes from and outside Funtuwa town,  took place at the school premises which was newly built by the Members of the Islamic in Funtuwa town and environs.

After the opening prayers, some of the school's  pupil delivered a short address in English, Arabic and local Hausa languages to welcome the guest speaker Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. They also explained the history of the newly built school to the gathering.

Other activities by the Pupils include matching parades and takwaendo.

The Chief host Mallam Rabiu Funtuwa introduced the guest speaker Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. Sheikh Zakzaky delivered al lengthy speech on the importance of knowledge and character building. He also called on parents to pay attention to children education and character molding.

The Leader called on the children to put more effort in acquiring knowledge at childhood being the best time to acquire the knowledge with little leisure adding that childhood opportunity when missed can not be regained. Sheikh Zakzaky also called on the teachers to try more at improving the education standards from all aspects. He commended the effort of the teachers and called on everyone to contribute his quota towards achieving the goals in education.

After the lecture, sheikh Zakzaky moved to the site of newly built school which comprises of class rooms, library and staff room and commissioned it.
