Fortieth day prayer for the repose soul of Sheikh Abdussalam Ghana held
Forty day prayer for the repose of the soul Sheikh Abdussalam Bansi was held in in Zaria on Sunday the 5th of December 2010. The prayer recitation was led by the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky in his residence and it was attended by scores of Muslims.
Sheikh Bansi passed away on the 26th of October 20101 in Ghana. Earlier on, in his letter of condolence to the family of deceased, Sheikh Zakzaky said that fortieth day prayer will be held in Nigeria, similar to the one held in Ghana which the Sheikh could not attend due to preparation for Annual Ashura mourning gatherings in Zaria.
Sheikh Abdussalam Bansi is one of the prominent Shia Scholars in Ghana, until his death he was the leader of Shia Muslim community there. Sheikh Bansi also established a School in Accra which he named Madrastu Rasulul Akram.
