Some of the participant expressed their appreciation of such an IVC because it has given them an avenue to further improve the depth of their knowledge, increased social relations and a lot more. Lectures conducted at the IVC included “the life of the Prophet (S)” by Mal Aubakar Maina, “the struggle of the Prophet (S) and his Pious Companions” by Malama Zeenat Ibraheem, “The search for knowledge and the Challenges ahead the Youth of the Islamic Movement” by Dr Abdullahi Ubale, current affairs by Mal Umar Abdullahi Potiskum and “global tyranny and the challenges ahead of the Youths of the Islamic Movement” by Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H). The closing speech was delivered by the leader of the Islamic movement in Nigeria Sheikh Zakzaky (H). Mal Abubakar Maina in his speech illustrated that the lesson that could be derived from the life of the Prophet (S) is that it was a life that was geared towards earning the pleasure of Allah (T) by abiding by His rule and injunctions, which he practically showed to the whole world. He also mentioned we in this part of the world are indeed blessed with the presence of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H), who has indeed rekindled and lighten the status of the Prophet to us revive the love for the Prophet showing and directing the path the Prophet and his Noble Ahlul Bait (AS) has trend to earn Allah’s pleasure. Malama Zeenat also touched on the struggle of Prophet and Noble companion with various lessons to be learnt particularly self sacrifice, determination and perseverance, that inspite of all atrocities victory is certain in this world or in the hereafter, sitting various contemporary examples. Dr Abdullahi touched on various issues regarding search for knowledge and the task that awaits the upcoming generation so as to raise the zeal and enthusiasm in the search for knowledge with illustrations of various steps and strategies to be taken. Sheikh in his lecture reviewed various strategies and modalities used by the tyrannical global overseers in trying to discredit Islam so as to distance many that would want to accept Islam. Some of which include the usage of the word “terrorist” and “terrorism” on Muslim in various forms of mass media, trying to show that our religion is a religion of intimidation and a forceful faith that was spread with the aid of the sword. While it’s a known fact that the act of terrorism through the use of threat, killings, planting of bombs is a known act conducted in western countries by organisation such as IRA and others but the prevalence of the acts are transferred to Muslim after conspiracy acts showing as if they were executed by Muslim. Various alibis showing people with moustache, hijab and Muslims features as the main suspects and perpetuated of various ill-human acts in mass Medias is a common strategy used by global tyrants aimed at scaring people away from Islam and Muslims. Sheikh reiterated that Islam is all about the perfect way of life that deals with rational decisions and acts in which various super arrogants are afraid and always distance themselves from any meaningful discussions. This has been illustrated by the way and manner the letter Iranian President Ahmadi Najad sent to Bush, who couldn’t respond intellectually rather resulted to uproar and inhuman rhetoric’s. In the closing speech Sheikh Zakzaky (H) reiterated the aim for the conductance of the IVC programme is geared at increasing knowledge and refreshment and redirecting of the thought to its rightful place. He went on to say Allah (T) Has blessed all human beings with right senses and knowledge that when used rightly will help individuals in earning Allah’s pleasure as well as being useful to humanity. The importance of the search for knowledge and the building of rightful taught was stressed by Sheikh, so also the importance of the role of parents in moral rightful upbringing of the up coming generation right from the time of conception to maturity which is very crucial. He went on to show how pious servant of Allah have being morally brought up by feeding their parents and the children with rightful possessions, passing to them the words of Allah through Quranic recitations and entrusting their care in the hands of pious servant of Allah etc. Conversely Sheikh highlighted by giving examples of how not abiding by morally upbringing standard has resulted in development of disobedient children. In conclusion Sheikh boast the morale of participant in the quest for knowledge that they will earn the pleasure of Allah (T) because it’s an act of worship just like all others ever though it is often tagged as being difficult. The benefit of it doesn’t end with the individual alone but extends its outreach to humanity and more importantly the earning of Allah’s pleasure. In other to improve the status of education the importance of its goal must be known and clearly illustrated i.e. earning the pleasure of Allah (T) rather than the way it’s portrayed and taken now i.e. as an instrument to earn worldly attribute (“money”). While expressing the positive impact the programme has impacted on them and the need for the continued sustainace of the programme, the participant expressed their appreciation to Sheikh that has always being instrumental in boasting their morale as well various members of the movement that have provided various form of assistance. They also went on to call for more help because presently the many participants couldn’t be registered for the programme due to overstressed facility that has exceeded its capacity. Shuaibu Isa Ahmad
