                “The deviation of Man” was the topic given to Mal Turi and delivered by him at the IVC.  In the introduction Mal Turi expressed that to understand why man often deviates from the path that he was asked to follow there is a  need to really understand the main aim of the life in this world. He reminded the audience of the aim as stated by Allah (T) in the Quran “I have not created Man and Jin but for them to worship”. But if it is so why does Man deviates from his main task? He went on to itemise the reasons that include;

·         Unlawful envy exhibited by man for shear envy thinking all what is right centres around him not any other person. He went on to give example of the envy exhibited by Kabila that made him to kill his brother Habila just because Habila’s sacrifice was the one accepted by Allah (T).  So also is the case of the refusal of some companion of the Prophet (S) to accept the vicegerency  of Imam Ali (KW) after the demise of the Prophet (S).

·         Injustice; especially by placing things not in their rightful positions.

·         Illiteracy that forms a strong component of evils, and is the source of preventing the light that directs the affairs of the life in this world.

·         Misplacement of priority in  giving preference to the life of this world rather than the life hereafter.

In trying to give the solutions to the stated causes of deviation of Man, Mal Turi mentioned;

·         Gearing effort towards establishing strong communion with Allah (T) through the reflections on the messages of Allah (T) as contained in the Quran. As well as putting various efforts in getting closer to Allah (T).

·         Be upright in undertaking of all religious acts as contained in the teachings of the Prophet (S) particularly the non-compulsory ones.

·         Attending all activities and functions that are beneficial eg taalimat, lecture presentations etc.

·         Trying to associate oneself with friend who enjoys one to do good and avoid bad acts and behaviours.

At the end of the IVC, participants expressed happiness for attending the IVC programme because of its immense benefits. Mal Farouk Abdullahi in his speech expressed his gratitude to all that gave a helping hand in making  the programme successful. Likewise he went on to express efforts geared towards improving the children’s subsequent IVC programmes.
