SPEECHES MADE BY IMAM KHOMEINI (Q) WERE THE ONLY WEAPON USED IN BRINGING ABOUT CHANGE IN IRAN.

          The leader of Islamic movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) closed the annual Imam Khomeini (QS) week (31^st May-4^th June 2008) organised by the Academic forum of the Islamic movement  on Wednesday 4^th June 2008 at FIC centre Zaria after the usual Tafsir session conducted by him every Wednesday at the centre with a short speech.

          In his remarks Sheikh highlighted the goal of such annual week which is to refresh our minds of Imam and his struggle with the view to learn and imbibe various lessons.

He pointed out that Imam(QS) was  submissive and dedicated to Allah (T) in all his activities following the footsteps of the Noble Rasoul (S). Even on his sick bed Imam was seen performing  prayers on his sick bed while medication drip was being injected in his body. The drip was held by one of the people present following him in the act of prostration.

When that was not possible because of the seriousness of his  condition, he was seen performing prayers by means of eye movement in all acts of the prayer. With zeal and courage he was also seen conducting his usual routine such as listening to radio and reading papers. His burial was breath taking with mourners numbering greater than 10million.

          Sheikh went on to highlight that  history has documented that while various revolutionary changes such as capitalism, socialism and the likes were established through the use of weaponry, force, suppression and the likes, the change brought by Imam (QS) was through speeches he use to deliver calling people to return to the path ordained by Allah (T).

This very change that made capitalistic and socialistic ideology make a mockery of themselves paved way for many to think and reflect inwardly to Islam as a means to salvation, and for others to think indeed religion has a place in one’s live.

 Many were convinced and had accepted Islam subsequently making the world super arrogant and the supposedly overseers of the world to shiver. The arrogant powers devised way to  make Islam be seen as  nothing but a terrorist based religion. It has now become a common feature seeing and hearing of bombs been planted by this arrogants killing innocent lives in many part of the world attributing it, through their mass media, on Muslims. Evidences from the case of the planned September 9/11  are pointing to this very scenario where a pilotless plane loaded with explosive directed to rammed into a tower but on crushing down it  burnt into ashes which is unusual for normal planes to burn into ashes after crushing down.

          Sheikh in a closing remarks express thanks to Allah (T) for the various favours bestowed upon us importantly staying on the track of Imam Khomeini (QS) which is akin to that of Rasoul (S). The oppressors had waited with curiosity to see the collapse of the path left by Imam, but today after 19 years the path left by Imam is waxing even stronger with many following his foot steps all over the world. We are happy to be associated with the path laid by Imam Khomeini (QS).
