ISLAMIC MOVEMENT MARKS ANTI-ZIONISTS 6OTH ANNIVERSARY By Abu Jihad
As Zionists and their allies all over the celebrated, in different ways, on 14th May, 2008, 60th Anniversary of the creation of the illegal state of Israel, the Islamic Movement in Nigeria countered that by organizing a one-day anti-Zionist symposium on Sunday , the 18th of may 2008, at Arewa House Kaduna where scholars spoke on the history and implication of the Zionists’ occupation of Palestinian on Islam, its adherents and the generality of mankind.
The first paper presented at the symposium was authorized by Malama Aisha Umar Yusuf of Media Trust Ltd. Which was entitled, “The Historical Perspective of the creation of the illegal state of Israel”
The paper which was paraphrased and summarized by Sheikh Muhammad Muhmad Turi dwelled or focused on the factors often cited as the reasons for the establishment of the state of Israel on the soil of Palestine.

One of such factors , according to the paper, was as a result of the alleged relentless persecution of Jews in Europe and the desire of the Jews at all times in history to secure Palestine as their homeland. Another factor often cited but somehow given less importance than the above is the desire of European and other Western Powers to have a client state in a strategic region such as the middle East.

The paper noted that the Zionist had since the reign of the Ottoman empire been planning how to invade Palestine, by any means possible, particularly by massacre and forceful ejection to ensure that they were reduced to a minority as propounded by the likes of Cham Weizman who was an undisputed leader and one of the strategists of the world Zionist Movement and the key forces behind the present ordeals of the defenseless and oppressed owners of Palestine.
The paper also noted that while the British , French and Russians were prowling around Turkey like hungry wolves around an aged lion, the Jews who were closely and anxiously watching the ageing and foreseeable breakup of the Turkish(ottoman) empire had their eyes on a specific chunk-Palestine.
It all began in 1897 when a man called Theodor Herzl called for a Jewish conference in Basle where he invited the participants to work together for a national homeland for the Jews. With the passage of time and with the persecutions mounting in Europe, the idea started winning more converts….. he advocated only a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine not an independent state. But with the breakup of the Ottoman empire and the occupation of its fringes by European Powers, the idea of an Independent-Jewish state in Palestine began to make its appeal to imaginative minds.
The greatest hurdle, however, in this regard was the Palestine everyone spoke of was not an empty stretch of land. According to a survey carried out in 1917, Palestine was inhabitated by 700,000 people: 92% of them Arabs and 8% Jewish. Of the total land area of 26,320,000 acres, the Jews owned less than 1% at the beginning of the century.
But today, almost all this entire land is under the control of the Zionists.
The paper said in 1918, they were only 56,000, by 1925 their number had grown to 108,000, by 1935 they were 300,000 and in 1948 they were 540,000.
The Balfour Declaration was issued in 1917 by British in a statement delivered by Lord Arthur Balfour, British Foreign Secretary declaring Palestine as a homeland for the Jews. It read thus:
“His majesty’s government views will favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavours to facilitate the achievement of this objective, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine”
This is only the public declaration. Balfour’s private declaration which he recorded in his diary shows clearly the true intent of the British in giving Palestine to the Jews and her feelings with regards to the presents inhabitants of Palestine.
“…Zionism, be it right or wrong, good or bad, is rooted in the age long tradition, in present needs, in future hopes, of a far profounder import than the desire and prejudice of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit the ancient land”.
The paper, revealed that in attempts to fulfill this devilish dream of the Zionists, the Logun and Stern Hang terrorist organization, led by Menechem Begin, who later became an Israeli Prime Minister went on killing spree of the most horrid kind. The mostly of their acts was the massacre of men, women and children in the village of Deir Yassin in April 1948. Most of the men were at work when the terrorists attacked the village. Overcoming the feeble resistance, they rounded up the inhabitants, lined them up against the wall and shot them in cold blood. Surviving women and children were stripped naked and paraded in three open trucks, their hands over their heads to warn the Arabs a similar fate awaits those who will not surrender their homes and fields.
Similar or worst attacks had since 1948 to date been carried out on the armless Palestinians, their lands confiscated, hundreds of thousands fully furnished private houses and public institutions were and are being forcibly taken over by the Israelis.
The paper said Israel is a state founded on terrorism, massacre , and the dispossession of a people from their land. We cannot celebrate the birthday of a state that even now engages in ethnic cleansing that violates International Law. That is inflicting a monstrous collective punishment on the civilian population of Gaza and that continuous to deny the Palestinians their human rights and national aspiration.
Except for those blinded by Zionist Media propaganda or cowed down by America’s military might, all people with a conscience have equated Israel's persecution of Palestinians with Adolf Hitler’s own treatment of them in the second world war.
In his contribution, Mallam Turi called on the Muslim Ummah to have a rethink on the issue of Palestine which he said is purely an Islamic issue and should concern global Muslims. He said it is not an Arabic or Middle East’s affair but world’s affair because it has direct bearing with the entire Muslims of the world.
He also called on Muslims all over the world irrespective of the trivial and resolvable differences among them, to unite as exhorted by the late Imam Khomeini who through out his life had been calling for the unity of the Muslims which he emphasized that it is the only major step towards containing the Zionists’ onslaught and inhumanity on Palestinians and humanity in general.
Sheikh Turi also called on Muslims in the country to rise against tyrant leaders who are spineless surrogates of the Zionists. He said there surrogates are the ones that plunder and channel our resources towards empowering the Zionists at the expense of the barefooted and natural owners of the resources.
He stressed that no anti-Zionist struggle anywhere in the world can be successful without getting rid of their local agents.
We must work hard in unity as instructed by the almighty , for us to liberate Palestine, Palestinians and indeed global Muslims from the blood spilling Zionists and their injustice.
On the 7 point agenda of the President Umaru Musa yar’Adua administration which the Zionists are major stake holders in, Shiekh Turi wondered why should the government of any country whose majority of its population are Muslims could decide to partner with a terrorist county like Israel which is the most lawless country in the world and the only place where apartheid still has official backing.
In her comment-turned-lecture, Hajiya Bilkisu mni of Advocacy Nigeria regretted the Muslim leaders almost all over the world have become ready tools and puppets of the Zionists and who have been working hand-in-hand towards the realization of their dream of destroying Islam and its adherents in all parts of the world.

She said the Zionists who control more than half of the world’s economy, media and other apparatus of power do not control only the entire Muslim world which are regarded as the second or and less civilised but the entire so called First or Civilised world. She lamented that despite the wealth that almighty Allah has blessed the Muslim world with, their leaders are unable to take a decision that will help strike a balance of influence in the world.
She said the Zionists who have mastered the art of using peace to try to oppress to make peace, have today succeeded in penetrating every part of the world, particularly countries that are predominantly Muslims to such an extent that even among Ulemahs or Islamic Scholars there are those acting and preaching Zionist interest, consciously or unconsciously.
She stressed that this is perhaps one of the reasons why these Ulemahs have adopted divisive type of preaching which is causing dissension among the followers of the Islamic faith who now take arms against themselves over trivial issues while the Zionists watch and laugh.
She regretted that instead of these Ulemahs and their leaders to focus on creating awareness on the heinous crime being perpetrated by the Zionists against their brethren in faith, they are busy helping the Zionists in murdering fellow Muslims, either due to fear, ignorance or love for power and materialism.
Hajiya Bilkisu who carpeted Nigerian leaders for subjecting Nigerians to a less dignifying life compared to the Palestinians, decried that while Palestinians do not have security , electricity, good, good education etc., because they are under siege by the Zionists, Nigerians are under siege as a result of the inhumanity they have been subjected to by the style of administration of the puppets of the Zionists.
“ Nigerians are today experiencing life of insecurity , hunger, poverty, dejection more than our brothers in Palestine…..In the Nigeria of today security is provided by individuals who care for it, any body that wants light must buy a generator etc.. These are all characteristics of a failed state.” Hajiya Bilkisu stressed.
She therefore advised that for Nigerians to have a better standard of living, they must learn to hold their leaders accountable for their state of distress and impoverishment.
In his presentation, on the implication of the existence of the illegal state of Israel to the Muslim Ummah, Dr. Adam Ahmad of the Nigerian Defense Academy, described the Zionists as historical and rejected criminals who were cursed by Almighty Allah on several occasions.
Dr. Ahmad who condemned the Jews for their known and gross acts of immorality and criminality said it was because of these attitudes of the Zionists that led to their expulsion from almost every country where they lived including Germany where Hitler butchered them. They are a set of People who moralized all known acts of immorality including killing of the old, women and children who are not usually killed even by enemies in the war front.

The historian who listed Muslims denial of access to historical places of worship such as the third holiest mosque in the world, the first Qiblah , the Venue of isra’i and mi’iraj , as some of the implications of the invasion of Palesine by the Zionists added that daily genocide of the Muslims in that land by the Jews and direct control of middle east which is the center of the world, control of the world’s richest oil and waterways region which doubles as center of Islamic rich culture and creating disunity among world Muslims to their advantage as some of the implications of the existence of the Zionist to the Muslim Ummah.
